Manchester United ask to be kept in the loop regarding Youssef En-Nesyri
According to 90min (h/t The Express), Manchester United are keeping tabs on Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
The 23-year-old moved to Andalusia from Leganes last summer and has gone on to make an instant impact. He has so far scored 17 goals in 35 appearances for the defending Europa League champions. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The Moroccan’s performances have seen a number of clubs sit up and take notice. Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs while West Ham United had an offer rejected in January. (h/t The Express)
Sevilla for their part are keen to hold onto the striker. They are seeking to hand him a new contract that will protect his value. The La Liga giants are under no pressure to sell and hold the aces when it comes to negotiations. (h/t The Express)
En-Nesyri, for his part, appears to be content at Sevilla for the time being. Speaking to ABC (h/t The Express), the player’s agent, Anass Ouzifi, admitted that his client is enjoying life at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and has no intention of leaving anytime soon.
This has done little to deter both United and Liverpool, who have asked to be kept updated regarding the striker’s situation.
A need to strengthen!
With Anthony Martial flattering to impress, the Red Devils will need to bring in a striker next summer. While extending Edinson Cavani’s contract could give us a short-term option, we will need to bring in a prolific striker sooner or later.
United have been linked with the likes of Erling Haaland. However, the Norwegian is in high demand and could prove difficult to sign. Moreover, the striker is also represented by Mino Raiola, who has proven to be a thorn in United’s side.

United’s championship-winning sides in the recent past have all had infallible scorers who could be relied upon for goals. The same cannot be said of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s current flock.
Unless we bring in a new forward who can score consistently, we will find it difficult to challenge for major honours over the course of a season.
