Manchester United legend Gary Neville pokes fun at Liverpool following Brighton loss

Manchester United legend Gary Neville is not a fan of our arch-rivals Liverpool. He showcased that as a player and now continues to do so as a pundit.

With the Reds falling to their second straight home defeat, this time against Brighton, they lost the opportunity to close the gap on us.

Jurgen Klopp’s side looks a shadow of the team that secured the Premier League with ease last season. While injuries have admittedly affected them, they were expected to beat the Seagulls, that too at Anfield.

Neville posted a short video of him on Twitter, reacting to Brighton’s goal on the night.

He pretends to be asleep and wakes up just after the Brighton goal. Neville then sits up in his chair as if he’s shocked that the Seagulls have pulled one over the defending champions.

The ex-United star has had his share of fun in recent months whenever Liverpool have slipped up. It would appear old rivalries dies hard.

With the title race a close run thing this season, every dropped point could matter in the end. United hold a four-point lead over Liverpool and will look to close the gap on Manchester City at the top.

While it is all fun and games, watching our arch-rivals lose is always good. However, celebrating it is short-lived if our club cannot push home the advantage. Hopefully, United will give Neville something to cheer about at the end of the season.
