Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes voted best January signing ever
According to the club’s official site, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has been voted the best January signing ever.
The results were obtained through a BBC poll that saw Fernandes table 31% of the total votes. He beat off competition from Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, who came second with 25%.
Nemanja Vidic came third with 15%. Patrice Evra was yet another United star in the list.
Fernandes has proven to be a deserving winner of the poll. The Portuguese international joined United last January and immediately hit the ground running.
He has not looked back since and has been our best player over the last year. Fernandes has made 53 appearances for us so far, scoring 28 goals and 18 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The poll rated the transfers that took place since the winter transfer window was instituted in 2002.
In the last 12 months, Fernandes has managed to win four Premier League Player of the Month awards – the first player to do so in a single year. (h/t Daily Mail)
