Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lavishes praise on Manchester United star Paul Pogba
According to The Guardian, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has heaped praise on Paul Pogba after the 2-1 win over Fulham.
With the game all tied, the Frenchman was once again the difference-maker in the second half. His strike gave Alphonse Areola no chance as United took the lead for the first time on the night.
It was an advantage they would not relinquish against a spirited Cottagers side. The win takes us back to the top, two points clear of Manchester City.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer was full of praise for the Frenchman’s strike. Coming from someone who scored key goals during his career, it is high praise indeed.
“I scored a couple of decent left-foot goals in my day but not one that good, not one from 25 yards into the top corner. It was a great goal.”
The Norwegian praised Pogba’s ability to contribute in a medley of ways. The 27-year-old has stepped up his game in recent weeks and the effect is clearly visible.
“We’ve always said Paul Pogba can do everything.”
Happy on and off the pitch!
There has been much news of the Frenchman’s unhappiness at the club. Solskjaer went on to add that the player is currently in good nick and is enjoying playing football.
“Paul’s enjoying his football, he’s mentally very happy, he’s physically in very good shape and we know all about his talent.”
Pogba came away from Anfield having missed a golden opportunity to win us the game. It is fair to say that those demons have been put to rest after his winner at Craven Cottage yesterday.
