Bryan Robson reveals his desire to see transfer target Jack Grealish at Manchester United
Talking to Goal (h/t Metro), former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson stated that he would like to see Jack Grealish at Old Trafford, even though it may not be in the club’s transfer plans.
Earlier this month, a report by The Athletic (subscription required) stated that Manchester United had shown interest in the Aston Villa midfielder.
The news has gone cold in the past week or so. But Robson says that the Englishman is a player that the club should keep an eye out for.
“I don’t want to say too much about other teams’ players but of course, he’s a player we know we have to look for.”
He added that being named Villa’s captain has made Grealish more mature, and that his ability to go past players and win free-kicks in dangerous positions makes him a perennial threat. (h/t Metro)
A great potential addition
Robson, who spent close to 13 years at Old Trafford, even acknowledged the club’s interest in the 25-year-old.
“He’s been linked with us but those decisions, thank goodness, are with Ole and the board of directors.”
The former England international couldn’t help but speak of his desire to see Grealish at Old Trafford. However, he did admit that the staff at United might not ‘fancy’ the wide midfielder.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing Jack Grealish in a Manchester United shirt.”
Grealish has, of course, been amazing this season. He has 5 goals and 7 assists already in the league, and is one of the division’s top performers. He is a versatile midfielder who is best suited for the left flank.

Even though United have Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who can play down the left-hand side, no one would argue that a player of Grealish’s talent will increase the level of quality in United’s attack.
