Juventus ready to make a move for Manchester United Paul Pogba in the summer
According to Fabrizio Romano via CalcioMercato (h/t Express), Juventus are keen to make a move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba in the summer.
The 27-year-old is on his day one of the finest players in world football. While he has struggled to perform regularly for United, his performances for France have been nothing short of exemplary.
The French international has a little over a year left on his current deal. It was revealed by his agent Mino Raiola that the player is not keen on signing an extension and will look to leave the club in the summer.
With time running out on his contract, the more United wait to get a deal done, the less clout they will have in negotiations. Juventus believes this will help drive down his asking price.
The Turin giants are also hopeful that United will be open to a player-plus-cash deal. The Red Devils previously rejected proposals involving the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, Douglas Costa, and Miralem Pjanic.
Juventus is a club Pogba is familiar with having spent four years at the Allianz Stadium. Alongside Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal, the Frenchman excelled in what came to be known as the ‘MVP’ midfield.

The player, to his credit, has not downed his tools and has in fact stepped up his performances in recent weeks. He is now a key player as United look to win their first Premier League title in eight years.
The likes of Real Madrid and PSG were also linked with a move for the French international.
United have accepted that Pogba will not renew his contract and depart in the summer. Him leading us to a 21st league title will certainly help our cause in getting top dollar for his services. (h/t Mirror)
