Donny van de Beek to stay put at Manchester United
According to Dutch outlet Het Parool (h/t The Express), Manchester United star Donny van de Beek has decided to stay put at the club.
The Dutchman was the club’s first major signing of the summer. Despite scoring on his debut, he has failed to get a regular run of games in the starting XI.
Van de Beek has made 21 appearances so far, but just nine of them have come as starts. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The 23-year-old has been left upset by his situation at the club. So much that he has stopped giving interviews. (h/t Mirror)
The player’s situation has prompted Dutch legend Frank de Boer to urge Van de Beek to hold crunch talks with United. He has gone on to warn the 23-year-old that his lack of game time could impact his selection for Euro 2020. (h/t Daily Mail)
The player’s situation has seen Italian giants Inter Milan linked with a move for his services. The Nerazzurri have signed a number of United stars in the recent past.
Van de Beek however appears to be content to stay on at United. He has settled in well in the city and is happy living in a bubble devoid of any drama.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently admitted that he sees the Dutchman develop into a key player for the club in the future. The 23-year-old was in the starting line-up that faced off against Watford in the FA Cup on Saturday. (h/t Daily Mail)

Van de Beek is an experienced player who is proven at the highest level. A key player for Ajax, he played a major role in the Dutch side’s run to the Champions League semifinals in 2018/19.
Hopefully, he will soon be performing at a similar level in United colours, on a consistent basis.
