“Monster of a human being” – Solskjaer heaps the praise on Man United star after narrow Watford win

Solskjaer full of praise for Manchester United star Scott McTominay after Watford win
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day (h/t Metro), Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lavished praise on midfielder Scott McTominay after the 1-0 win over Watford in the FA Cup.
Manchester United eked out a narrow win against Watford in the FA Cup third round at Old Trafford on Saturday, courtesy of a McTominay goal in the fifth minute.
Donning the captain’s armband for the first time ever, the Scotsman made no mistake in diverting Alex Telles’ corner-kick into the back of the net. And while it wasn’t a vintage performance from the team, McTominay’s strike was enough to see us through to the next round.

Speaking after the game, Solskjaer hailed McTominay, insisting that he has grown more dangerous in the box-to-box role in midfield.
“Scott has had a very good season. He is being more and more dangerous, we know he can be a box-to-box midfielder. He should have scored a few more on set-plays before now because he is a monster of a human being. I am very happy he got the goal.”
The manager also touched upon the midfielder’s leadership qualities, exclaiming that McTominay knows what it means to be Manchester United player.
“We’ve always trusted our young men coming through and Scott is one of them that we really believe has got the DNA of Man United in him and he knows what it is to be a Man United player.”
