Jurgen Klopp reveals Liverpool will train differently for Manchester United

Talking to BT Sport (h/t Mirror), Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp mentioned that his team will take a different approach in the training ground before their crunch clash against Manchester United next weekend.

Liverpool got their FA Cup third round fixture out of the way on Friday. The Reds fielded a strong side to take on Aston Villa, who were without their entire first-team players and staff members.

His team went into half-time at 1-1, but won 4-1 at full-time. Liverpool have not been in good form. The Reds are winless in there last 3 Premier League games, which has given United the opportunity to overtake them.

The Red Devils have a game in hand over Liverpool. If they manage to win that match against Burnley on Tuesday, then they would be 3 points clear at the top of the table.

However, the Merseysiders now have time to regroup. With over a week to prepare for their game against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, Klopp has said that he will take different measures in the training ground.

The German mentioned that a few players in his squad are out of rhythm. And, to ensure their preparedness for the North West Derby, he will use this extensive break to implement 11v11 matches in the AXA Training Center.

“We have a lot players with no rhythm. So we will do a lot of 11 v 11 situations [in training] because that’s a very important thing.”

This gives them just 4 days to prepare for the top of the table clash against the Reds. If United beat Burnley and secure all 3 points against Liverpool, they would open up a six-point lead over the Reds at the top.
