“We go again” – Man United superstar sends a rallying cry after yet another heartbreak

Paul Pogba urges Manchester United to learn from their semifinal setbacks in recent months

According to MUTV (h/t The Metro), Manchester United star Paul Pogba has urged his teammates to learn from their semifinal setbacks over the last few months.

United succumbed to their fourth semifinal defeat in a row under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last night against Manchester City.

With the club failing to make the final push to convert promise into success, Pogba believes the players will have to nail down the little details. It was especially true yesterday as United were undone by two set-pieces.

“Details make the difference all the time and you know when it’s a big game like this, details, set-pieces, we lost on this. We have to learn.”

The Frenchman was expectantly disappointed at losing out on potential silverware. He rightly went on to add that the team will have to do better.

“It’s very annoying to lose because there is always a trophy behind all this and we have to do better. We have to do better for sure.”

United’s difference makers did not turn up on the night

While we may have fallen short in the Carabao Cup, there is still much to play for this season. Pogba is keen to take the lessons learned and move onto bigger and better things.

“We have to get through this as well and then after this there’s big games coming up. After tonight, tomorrow we go again.”

United can go top of the Premier League if they defeat Burnley next week. It will represent a stunning turnaround for a team that failed to win any of its first four home games of the campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted that his side does not suffer from a psychological block when it comes to negotiating semifinals. Thankfully it would appear that he has many more opportunities this season to put that to the test.

Hopefully, the players will heed Pogba’s advice and put their lessons to use when needed.
