Manchester United against loaning out Daniel James, Brandon Williams, and Jesse Lingard
According to the Metro, Manchester United are unwilling to loan out the trio of Daniel James, Brandon Williams, and Jesse Lingard in the January transfer window.
All three players have played largely peripheral roles for the club this season. They have made a combined 14 appearances this season of which James alone accounts for nine of them.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has moulded the United side into a machine that has started to churn out results in recent weeks. Though there is still a long way to go, the Red Devils have a realistic shot at challenging for the Premier League title.
Staying prepared
We are also alive in all three cup competitions including a potentially exhaustive Europa League run. Strength in numbers will be needed come to the business end of the season.
Injuries have wrecked havoc among a number of teams and United may have to deal with a similar crisis in the future. While an exit for the three players is not out of the question, Solskjaer prefers to have them available if need be.
“This season is going to be about the squad and rotation and to have the right players playing at the right time.”
At this point in time, United have just Phil Jones who is out injured. Solskjaer has so far handled his rotation quite well.
“I think we have been quite good at rotating. That has been standing us in a good stead.”
It is always good to be prepared and we can never have enough options to call upon if needed. With eight games to come in January, it promises to be a busy month. It remains to be seen if any of the aforementioned three players will get an opportunity.

Of the three players, one can argue that Lingard’s long-term future at the club is at stake. James and Williams are still young and could yet resurrect their careers at United.
With their development somewhat stalled, a loan move elsewhere would help them rekindle their progress. Whether Solskjaer will eventually feel comfortable enough to let them go remains to be seen.
