Juventus to sell Paulo Dybala if he does not accept new contract amidst Manchester United interest
A report by TuttoSport (h/t Daily Mail) claims that Juventus will be ready to sell Manchester United target Paulo Dybala in the summer if he does not accept a new contract at the club.
The Argentinian playmaker is currently on a contract that pays him £6.2million per year and expires in 2022. Juventus will further offer £1.9million on top of his current wages.
If Dybala accepts the deal, he would be the joint-highest earner at the club alongside Matthijs de Ligt. The highest earner is, of course, Cristiano Ronaldo.
This news also comes as a boost for Manchester United as the Red Devils were recently linked with a move for the Juventus man.
Transfer expert Ian McGarry mentioned on the Transfer Window Podcast (h/t Express) that Manchester United could re-open negotiations with Dybala if he rejects his new contract.
A second go?
Manchester United were interested in the Argentinian last summer but no deal could be agreed. And now, the report claims that Juventus will not haggle with Dybala if he rejects the contract.
Dybala previously rejected a contract offer from Juventus in 2019 that led many to speculate over his future. And now, United could have the opening they need to begin negotiations if the 27-year-old rejects a new deal.
The former Palermo man, who joined Juventus for £40million in 2015, has not found starts easy to come by this season. The forward has started just 6 games in Serie A out of a possible 15 so far.
