Manchester United tipped to make ‘star’ January signing to push for PL title

Speaking on talkSPORT (h/t Express), former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has backed Manchester United to make one star signing this month to push for the Premier League title.

Manchester United, after a dodgy start to the season, have recovered well in recent weeks. The Red Devils are on a nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League. This has seen them move to the second spot in the league table.

As things stand, Manchester United are just three points below leaders Liverpool with a game in hand. This has led to talks of a potential title tilt for the Red Devils.

And, former Premier League midfielder O’Hara is of the opinion that United need another star signing this month, in order to push Liverpool for the title.

“I think Man United are definitely in the hunt for it. If they can carry that form on, they’re right in the hunt. I think Manchester United will definitely look to the transfer market to strengthen.”

“I think the key thing in the title race for Man United is if they can get one star player which is going to improve the side.”

At the moment, we have a well-rounded squad more or less. However, the centre-back department might need some addressing with Victor Lindelof struggling with injuries.

Another potential area that needs to be looked at is the right flank, although Amad Diallo coming in could change that, if he is to make an impact.
