Solskjaer believes Manchester United are capable of beating anyone after Wolves win
According to Daily Mail, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was suitably ecstatic after his team went second in the Premier League by beating Wolves.
The Red Devils faced a plucky Wolverhampton Wanderers side in a tightly fought contest. Marcus Rashford was the hero on the night with his stoppage-time strike.
While there is still a long way to go in the title race, the club’s ability to dig deep has proven to be a welcome trait.
“This result is massive for the attitude.”
The Norwegian has refused to name United as title challengers. With 23 games still to be played, Solskjaer is right to play down any talk of a 21st league title.
He believes United have emerged as a difficult team to beat of late. The club have won seven of their nine Premier League games since the 1-0 loss to Arsenal.
“We are a different outfit now, better mentally and physically.”
Bring it on!
Winning points late on in games was an aspect touched upon by the club in pre-season. It appears to have transcended onto the pitch in recent games. Solskjaer believes United fear no one and have the belief that they can defeat any team.
“The belief is there they think we can win against anyone, anywhere.”
The win takes us to within two points of Liverpool. With Leicester City and Chelsea dropping points, we are slowly but steadily emerging as favourites to challenge Liverpool.
The Merseysiders have shown in recent seasons that they have the ability to dig deep and get results. To challenge them, we have to go up a level or two. So far, we appear to be doing just that.

United travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp’s side on January 17th. If the results continue to take a similar tone, the stage could be set for a potential title decider.
Given our current form, Solskjaer is right to believe we can beat anyone. Nothing will send that message across like ending Liverpool’s three-year unbeaten run at home.
