Gary Neville believes Bruno Fernandes and Hary Maguire are irreplaceable for Manchester United
Speaking on the Sky Sports Podcast(h/t The Metro), Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has named two first-team stars who are considered irreplaceable.
Both Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire have earned Neville’s praise as the duo continues to impress in the starting XI.
Fernandes has gradually established himself as our best player since joining the club in January. Maguire has had his faults but has helped add solidity to the United backline.
“They are the two players who I think are irreplaceable.”
Both players were in the starting lineup as United saw off Everton to make it to the Carabao Cup semifinals last night. With a busy festive schedule to come, Neville believes both players are practically undroppable.
“Fernandes is irreplaceable, they are a way off without him. He’s a vital piece of the jigsaw.”
Neville praised Maguire’s ability on the ball and his aerial presence as key additions to the United side. While he isn’t faultless, the skipper has added much to our defence.
“Maguire, I think, you’d know if he was missing. My gut feeling is that they would miss him enormously.”
United have shown an improvement in form in recent weeks. It has seen us once again be talked about as title challengers.
Winning our game in hand could take us to within two points of Liverpool at the top of the table. Carrying the winning momentum into the new year could make all the difference in what looks to be an interesting title race.
