Manchester United interested in signing Yves Bissouma
A report by Daily Express claims that Manchester United have entered the race to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.
There are chances that Paul Pogba may depart the club around New Year after expressing his intent to leave Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also not settled on a fixed midfield this season. Fred, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, and Nemanja Matic all having to share playing time.
Solskjaer might look to make up for missing out on his targets in the summer. Amidst this, Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old midfielder.
Yves Bissouma’s agent has stated the names of the 6 clubs that are supposedly interested in the Malian. United are one of them, with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal being the other two clubs. (h/t Daily Express)
Liverpool are said to want Bissouma as a replacement for midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who might leave Anfield as he enters into the final few months of his current contract.
AS Monaco, alongside two Spanish clubs are also reportedly interested in the Brighton midfielder.
The solid defensive midfielder joined Brighton and Hove Albion in 2018 from Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille. Since then, he has gone on to impress top clubs with his impressive displays, especially this season.
Brighton are not doing well in the league, but Bissouma has been one of the silver linings for Graham Potter’s side this season.

Manchester United surely do not lack in the midfield department. But a player like Bissouma can only add depth and quality to the team’s midfield.
At just 24, he also has a few years left to reach his physical prime and offer his best years to United if he does end up joining the Red Devils.
