“Unreal” – Some fans react as midfield duo combines in style to put Sheffield to the sword

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes impress for Manchester United against Sheffield United

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes were at their best as Manchester United came back once again, this time to defeat Sheffield United.

Both players looked in their element as United moved to within five points off the top. With a game in hand, we could find ourselves behind only Liverpool, provided we secure all three points.

The duo combined well to set up Marcus Rashford for United’s third on the night. The goal eventually proved decisive after David McGoldrick pulled one back for Sheffield late on.

It was suggested earlier this season that Pogba was not comfortable with Fernandes’ pre-eminent position at the club. (h/t The Mirror)

There was scant proof of any displeasure on the field yesterday as the two combined well on the pitch in what was an impressive attacking performance.

The two goals conceded is a cause for worry, but with our midfield duo impressing, that is one less thing to worry about going forward.

With games set to come thick and fast in the festive season, the winning momentum will help us negotiate a potentially tricky month.

United fans took to Twitter to react to the duo’s performance.
