Mino Raiola dismisses Paul Pogba exiting Manchester United in January

According to Italian publication Tuttosport (h/t Sky Sports), Manchester United star Paul Pogba looks set to stay at the club for the remainder of the season.

His future at the club was called into question following comments by his agent last week that the player wants out. Since then, Pogba has put in impressive performances against RB Leipzig and Manchester City.

However, Raiola has now dismissed the notion that Pogba will leave the club in the January transfer window. He has however left the door open for a summer switch next year.

Paul Pogba will not leave Manchester United in January

“In January, the big players hardly move, then in the summer let’s see what happens.”

Raiola believes the reaction to his revelations last week was over the top. he went on to insinuate that the English are too sensitive when it comes to Pogba.

“When it comes to him in England they are sensitive, perhaps too sensitive.”

While we can understand that he is trying to protect his client’s interests, his comments coming before the massive game against RB Leipzig would have done little to earn him any goodwill.

High risk, high reward!

The prospect of having Pogba go into the summer is a risky move for United. With his contract expiring in 2022, the club will be under pressure to find a suitor.

However, it is not all gloom and doom. Pogba is unlikely to endear himself to suitors if he continues to put in sub par performances. A strong second half of the season will help both him and us.

If he is to move in the summer, it might as well be on good terms. Moreover, a run of good form will also help us get top dollar for his services.

Pogba’s much-vaunted return to Old Trafford in 2016 has not gone to plan. While he helps us to two trophies and some magical moments, a consistent run of form has so far eluded him.

Whether he is leaving the best for last remains to be seen.
