As reported by the Guardian, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the goalless draw against Manchester City was the best derby performance under his management.

United held City to a draw in what was a derby that lacked the usual electricity. It was, however, a much promising performance in comparison to the midweek loss to RB Leipzig. (h/t Guardian)

“In my time against Manchester City that’s the best performance we have had,” he said.”

While Solskjaer admits we have had better results against City under his guidance, he remains convinced that this is our best game performance-wise. (h/t Guardian)

While Solskjaer is right to praise our defensive solidity on the night, the performance is unlikely to stay long in memory.

Under the circumstances, it is a point well earned. However, we will need to do much better and a win against Sheffield United in the next game will see us net all three points.
