Manchester United opponents for round 3 of the 2020/21 Emirates FA Cup revealed
Manchester United got to know their third-round opponents as the Football Association revealed the complete fixture list on Monday for round 3 of the Emirates FA Cup scheduled to be played in the second week of January 2021.
The Red Devils have one of the tougher FA Cup round 3 draws as the Red Devils will face last year’s relegated Premier League club Watford on January 9, 2021.
Manchester United’s last 10 FA Cup round 3 results
2019/20 Round 3: Manchester United 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers (First-leg ended 0-0)
2018/19 Round 3: Manchester United 2-0 Reading
*2017/18 Round 3: Manchester United 2-0 Derby County
2016/17 Round 3: Manchester United 4-0 Reading

2010/11 Round 3: Manchester United 1-0 Liverpool
* = finalists ; **=winners
Out of the above 10 fixtures, Manchester United went out of the round 3 of the FA Cup only once. The Red Devils have drawn fellow premier League clubs four times in the past 10 years, winning all 4 times.
Manchester United Head-to-Head record against Watford
Manchester United have played against Watford 34 times in their history, winning 23 times, while losing on only 6 occasions.
Manchester United have faced Watford 6 times in the FA Cup in the past, losing just once. The last time these two teams met in the competition, Manchester United came away with a 4-1 win in the 2006/07 FA Cup semi-final. United lost the final 1-0 to Chelsea.
Manchester United have a formidable record against the Hornets in recent years. United have won 17 of the last 19 games they have played against Watford, losing just 2.
Watford are 3rd in the Championship table after 14 games, trailing the league leaders Norwich City by 2 points. 10 out of those 14 league matches have ended with neither team scoring more than one goal.
Watford were relegated from the Premier League last season but they still managed to beat Manchester United 2-0 at Vicarage Road in the league. They look like promotion hopefuls this year as they have conceded just 11 goals in their 14 matches while scoring 19 at the other end.
The Hornets play 9 times before their FA Cup Round 3 fixture against Manchester United on 9th January, which is one less than the 10 matches that the Red Devils will play in the same time period.
