Manchester United sign Morecambe wonderkid Jack Kingdon
According to The Express, Manchester United have signed exciting Morecambe prospect Jack Kingdon.
The deal was confirmed by the youngster on social media. He will initially join up with the club’s Under-16 side.
Kingon is happy to be at United and considers it to be an honour to sign for the Red Devils.
A centre-back, Kingdon was a part of the Shrimpers academy. He made his Under-18 debut earlier this season against Preston.
He is the second youngster to be snapped up by United in recent weeks. Kingdon will join goalkeeper Tom Wooster, who arrived at the club from Barnsley last week.
The move to Old Trafford is a dream come true for Kingdon’s father. He had tweeted earlier this year that he would love to see his son don the Untied colours.
The youngster is just one of the promising talents to have made their way to Old Trafford in recent windows.
Former academy head Nicky Butt adopted an aggressive pursuit of talented young players from across the globe. Tahith Chong, Charlie McCann, France youth international Aliou Traore, Puigmal, Largie Ramazani and Harvey Neville were some of the high-profile arrivals under his watch.
The club has continued to bring in young stars. Most prominent among them were the deadline day deals for Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri.
