The coronavirus pandemic had left clubs short of their once-mighty financial strengths. Juventus are keen to reduce their wage bill, leading to United keeping an eye on Ronaldo’s situation.

The 35-year-old earns a whopping £28million per season and is the club’s best-paid player.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo return to Manchester United?

According to the report, Juventus may be willing to part ways with their star player. Ronaldo has undoubtedly been the club’s best player since joining from Real Madrid and has won them numerous games on his own.

Ronaldo, for his part, is also considering United’s offer. However, for the time being, his focus remains committed to Juventus.

At 35, Ronaldo is at an age where most players lose their spark. The footballing legend has however aged like fine wine. He has, if anything, gotten better with age rather than worse for wear.

The prospect of a forward line featuring Ronaldo, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford is a scary thought. Add the flair and passing range of Bruno Fernandes behind them, and we have the ingredients for a winning formula.

However, such a deal does appear to be implausible. We too have been hard hit the pandemic which has hurt our purse strings as well.

This might as well open the door for the player to move to PSG, who are also keen on his services.
