Manchester United coaches amazed by new signing Charlie McNeill

As reported by the MEN, Manchester United coaches have been left stunned by the training performances of summer signing Charlie McNeill.

The 17-year-old boyhood Manchester United fan signed for the club from neigbours Manchester City this past summer. And, it seems like he has already made quite the impression on the coaches at the club. (h/t MEN)

McNeill arrived at United with quite a reputation in youth football, with over 600 goals credited to his name, while he has also represented the England U16 side. And, he is certainly living up to the expectations if the aforementioned report is something to go by.

The centre-forward made an auspicious start to his career at Manchester United, scoring a brace on his U18s debut against Derby County. And coaches within the club are claiming that the young striker has been ‘ridiculously good’ in training sessions. (h/t MEN)

Manchester United signed McNeill in a deal worth £750,000 that could rise to £1.5m with performance-related add-ons. But, if we go by the glowing reviews that he has been receiving from within the club, that fee might end up proving to be quite the bargain.

Manchester United put a lot of focus on youth recruitment this past summer. A number of gifted youngsters with immense potential arrived at the club, with McNeill being one among them.

If the youngster continues to make an impression like this, we might not have to wait for that long to see the 17-year-old knock on the doors of the first-team.
