Fans call for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking after Man United lose to Arsenal
After a brilliant performance in midweek against RB Leipzig, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United stumbled at home once again on Sunday, as they lost 1-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League.
It was another dour display from the Red Devils that lacked any sort of aggression or bite as they allowed Arsenal to control proceedings for most parts.
And while the rearguard stayed strong for two-thirds of the contest, Paul Pogba conceded a penalty, allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to fire the Gunners to a victory.
The result meant that United are yet to win a single home game in the Premier League this season. It was also the club’s first defeat to the Gunners at Old Trafford since 2006.
In what was Solskjaer’s 100th match as the manager of Manchester United, the team underwhelmed largely and fans were hardly pleased with the performance and the outcome of the game.
Following the match, fans took to Twitter to call for the Norwegian’s sacking as ‘#OleOut’ trended on social media. Here are some of the reactions from the supporters as pressure mounts on Solskjaer after another disheartening performance.
Fans want Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be axed after Arsenal defeat
Thing is pal. That isn’t acceptable. There’s nothing he’s done that has been good for the club. Apart from break record that weren’t supposed to be broken. Last time we had this bad of a start was when we finished 18TH!!!! #oleout pic.twitter.com/Lerx22BGWU
