Facundo Pellistri already has plans regarding Manchester United exit
Speaking to Telemundo (h/t The Express), Manchester United new boy Facundo Pellistri is already planning for his return to Uruguay in the future.
This comes less than a week after he signed for United on deadline day. The 18-year-old signed from joined from boyhood Uruguayan club Penarol in a deal worth £9million.
The youngster has been given the number 28 shirt and will be a part of the first-team squad at United.
Pellistri only made his first-team debut for Penarol a year ago. He has since seen his stock rise, eventually landing up at Old Trafford.
The Uruguayan has described joining United as a dream come true. He went on to confirm that French giants Lyon were also keen on signing him.
“It was unimaginable and to play in the first division with Penarol and now to play for Manchester United, I would never have dreamed of it and it is something very emotional for me and my family.”
He hopes to return to Penarol one day. Given his age and potential, there is no reason to expect it will be anytime soon if he goes on to impress at United.
“It was a dream and a pleasure to play for the team. I am leaving with a lot of desire to return one day.”
While Pellistri is not the player United fans may have wanted going into the summer, it is very much possibole that the club has signed a major star for the future.
