Real Madrid rule out move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba
According to the Spanish publication AS (h/t Metro), Real Madrid have no intention of making a move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The French international courted speculation when he admitted that he dreams of donning the famous white shirt one day.
While Real boss Zinedine Zidane remains a huge admirer of Pogba, Real Madrid have made PSG wonderkid Kylian Mbappe their top priority next summer.
The Spanish giants are eyeing some of the best young talents in world football. Others on their wish list include French teenager Eduardo Camavinga and Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland.
The development is a boost for United who spent a then-world record fee of £89m to land the 27-year-old in 2016.
While he has failed to produce his best on a consistent basis, Pogba still has time to turn around his fortunes at Old Trafford. He will however have to considerably improve given his horrid start to this season.
The World Cup winner has conceded two penalties in just three Premier League games so far. He has struggled to impose himself and has looked off the pace.
In his defence, he is coming on the back of a hectic season and also was down with the coronavirus just before the current campaign kicked off.
With Real’s stance now all but clear, Pogba will do well to focus his energies on giving his best for United. It is time we saw more of a player that the club paid a mammoth fee to sign.
