Manchester United reject Leeds United approach for Daniel James
According to the BBC, Manchester United have rejected all bids from Leeds United for Daniel James.
The Yorkshire side have enjoyed a good start to life in the Premier League. They ran Liverpool close before playing Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to a stalemate.
Marcelo Bielsa was keen to bring in a winger and had identified United star James as that man.
However uncertainity regarding the signing of Jadon Sancho saw United reject any approach for the 22-year-old Welshman.
Having joined from Swansea City last summer, James got off to a brilliant start at United. He has, however, found the going tough and has been largely ineffective in the second half of 2019/20.
James eventually lost his spot on the wing to youngster Mason Greenwood, who has since thrived in his stead.
Leeds have been longtime admirers of the Welshman. In fact, he looked to be on his way to Elland Road in 2019 before eventually signing for United.
Leeds were willing to loan or even take the player on a permanent basis. United rejected all approaches including one over the weekend.
