As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have lost out in the race for Amad Traore.

According to an earlier report, United were in contact with Atalanta regarding the player. Despite his limited playing time, Traore has shown glimpses of what he could become if he develops as expected.

It is worth noting that at 17 years and 109 days old, he became the youngest player to score on his Serie A debut. He achieved this milestone last season when Atalanta thrashed Udinese 7-1.

According to Romano, the talented youngster will now ply his trade at Parma. He will join the Italian side on loan until June 2021.

While his first-team minutes may be limited, Traore has been a regular for the Under-19 side. He played 24 games, in which he scored 8 goals and 11 assists. (h/t Daily Mail)

Traore would not have been a signing who could readily contribute to the first-team. Instead, he would have joined a plethora of talent that has found its way to Old Trafford this summer.

Talented young starlets namely Charlie McNeil, Alejandro Garnacho, Marc Jurado, Alvaro Fernandez, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Joe Hugill, Logan Pye, and Radek Vitek have all joined the club this summer. (h/t MEN)
