The comments sound a little hollow considering how Harry Maguire made the cut. While the truth of what happened in Greece is not clear, Greenwood and Maguire seem to be judged by different laws.
England enjoys the luxury of playing three home games during the international break. They face world number 1 Belgium followed by clashes against Wales and Denmark.
Greenwood has since apologized for his actions and has termed them as being irresponsible. (h/t MEN)
The youngster also regretted betraying the trust shown in him by Southgate. He has also vowed to learn from it and never let down his family, teammates or country again. (h/t MEN)
