Under-fire Man United star could end up staying put at Old Trafford despite exit links

Daniel James could be set for Manchester United stay
According to The Sun, Manchester United winger, Daniel James could be set to stay on at Old Trafford this summer.
The Welshman had been linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Leeds United. Marcelo Bielsa is keen on the winger who almost signed with Leeds before becoming a Red Devil.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a fine start to life at United. However, he has since failed to hit the same heights and has fallen down the pecking order.

While a move to Leeds could give him the chance to restart his career, it would only happen if events elsewhere work to our advantage.
According to the report, Manchester United will only let James leave if they land Jadon Sancho. Given the lack of progress on that front, it seems likely that the Welsh winger will stay on at United for now.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in a right-winger this summer. Selling James while also failing to land Sancho will leave us in a very precarious position.

Leeds meanwhile are also monitoring Rangers winger Ryan Kent. Although seen as an alternative to James, it remains to be seen if Leeds will wait until United make a decision.
United meanwhile are also looking at alternatives for Sancho. Those in the reckoning include Ismaila Sarr, Ivan Perisic and David Brooks. (h/t The Daily Star)
Signing any of the players above could see Untied sanction a loan deal for James. This agreement is also set to have an option to buy.
