Ed Woodward is working on ten transfers at Manchester United
According to MEN, Manchester United are working on several transfer deals as the summer transfer window deadline approaches.
This could see as many as three players join the club in the coming days. As yet, Dutch star Donny van de Beek remains the club’s lone major signing of the window.
The three players on their way in could include Alex Telles, Jadon Sancho and Amad Traore.
Despite being in his last year at Porto, United have been unable to reach an agreement with the Portuguese champions for Telles.
United could, however, sell Chris Smalling to meet Porto’s valuation of Telles. While Smalling too is keen on a switch to AS Roma, the Italians have not made an offer that United deems acceptable.
Another player on his way our is Marcos Rojo. The Argentine has also been informed that he is surplus to requirements. United however have found it difficult to find suitors.
Securing Sancho meanwhile presents a challenge. Borussia Dortmund have not lowered the valuation and the player continues to star for them on the field.
This has forced United to seek alternatives including Ismaila Sarr, Ivan Perisic, Douglas Costa and David Brooks. (h/t MEN)
They are also keeping tabs on Atalanta winger Amad Traore. The 18-year-old is not seen as an alternative to Sancho.
A number of players could potentially leave the club in the coming days. Apart from Smalling and Rojo, this includes Diogo Dalot, Jesse Lingard, Sergio Romero and Phil Jones. (h/t Express)
Meanwhile, Andreas Pereira has already agreed to join Lazio on a season-long loan.
