Man United enter negotiations with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic
According to FussballTransfers (h/t Express), Manchester United have made contact with Serie A giants Inter Milan over the potential signing of Ivan Perisic this summer.
The 31-year-old is back at Inter after a successful loan spell with Bayern Munich last season, where he played a key role in their treble-winning campaign. However, he is expected to be sold this summer and has no shortage of suitors. (h/t Express)
Among the clubs monitoring the Croatian international are Manchester United, with the Red Devils believed to have already started talks with Inter for Perisic’s signing. (h/t Express)
It is no secret that the 20-time English champions have been on the hunt for a new winger this summer. Jadon Sancho has been the club’s top target, but negotiations with Borussia Dortmund have hit a roadblock. (h/t Express)
And Perisic has emerged as a potential alternative for Manchester United amid growing concerns that the club will not be able to sign Sancho. (h/t Express)
Manchester United aren’t the only club linked with Perisic, though. Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the veteran winger. However, since they are signing Gareth Bale, they are unlikely to pursue the Croatian. (h/t Express)
In addition, there is also interest from the likes of Everton and Leicester City. But the fact that United have already established contact with Inter Milan should give them a bit of an advantage. (h/t Express)

Perisic may not be the most popular choice among the fans. But the 31-year-old can be a viable stop-gap solution for the club.
A player with proven pedigree and winning mentality, he can add more experience to a young frontline. He would also address the right-wing problems, albeit for a short time.
However, it remains to be seen if this does lead to anything substantial in the coming weeks.
