According to The Telegraph (h/t Express), Manchester United are considering making a move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, as an alternative for Jadon Sancho.

The 31-year-old Perisic has been with Inter Milan since 2015, having signed from German outfit VfL Wolfsburg. However, he wasn’t a part of new manager Antonio Conte’s plans and was loaned to German giants Bayern Munich last summer.

Having joined Die Roten, Perisic made a solid impression, playing an important role in their treble triumph. The Croatian international featured 35 times across all competitions, impressing with 8 goals and 10 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Bayern, though, have turned down the chance to sign him permanently. Now back at Inter, he finds himself as a subject of interest from Manchester United. (h/t Express)

Manchester United are in the market for a new winger to bolster the attack and address the over-reliance on Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho has emerged as the club’s primary target. However, the pursuit of the 20-year-old has hit a roadblock, with the Germans demanding £108m for his transfer. (h/t Express)

With little time left in the transfer window, the club are now seemingly lining up alternatives for Sancho, with Perisic one among them. (h/t Express)

The 31-year-old was a target for Manchester United when Jose Mourinho was in charge at the club. And as far as short-term options go, he wouldn’t be the worst for United.

Someone who has won a number of trophies in his career and has proven his mettle at all levels, Perisic could prove to be a handy short-term signing for United.
