Manchester United could sign Chelsea star N’Golo Kante for £60m

According to Jack Otway of the Express, Manchester United can get the best out of Paul Pogba if they sign N’Golo Kante, who is available for £60m this summer.

The Chelsea star endured an injury-hit campaign at Stamford Bridge last season. Kante made just 30 appearances for Chelsea as they finished in the top four.

It was far from his influential best. When fit the Frenchman is one of the best, if not the best, midfielders in the league. A two-time Premier League winner, he also won the Premier League Player of the Season for the 2016/17 campaign.

Manchester United will do well to land N’Golo Kante

The 29-year-old formed a formidable partnership with Pogba as France won the World Cup in 2018. There is hope that rekindling the partnership at the club level will help bring the best out of the United star.

Pogba has largely failed to hit the heights expected of him. He has, to his credit, improved following the signing of Bruno Fernandes last January.

The Frenchman now looks set to extend his stay at the club. This represents a turnaround in the player’s situation since the beginning of the season.

Adding Kante to the mix could help bring out his best at Old Trafford. The Chelsea star is also available with the Blues willing to aprt ways with their star man. (h/t Express)

According to the report, Kante could be brought for around £60m. He will be a younger alternative to the aging Nemanja Matic.

It can be argued that when fit Kante is superior to the rest of our midfielders save maybe Pogba and Fernandes. The addition of the Frenchman would surely benefit us. Whether we will go for him or not remains to be seen.
