Aaron Wan-Bissaka forced to self-isolate for 14 days after Dubai sojourn

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to miss the start of pre-season ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

The United squad is currently on a break after our extended season that only ended earlier this month. The players are scheduled to report for training on 2nd September.

Wan-Bissaka will however not be one of them due to his ill-advised decision to visit Dubai. United will test the defender as soon as possible upon his return.

According to the new United Kingdom quarantine rules, he will now have to spend 14 days of self-isolation. With him due to fly back at the end of the week, the earliest United can expect him back in training is mid-September.

With the club set to kick off their Premier League campaign on 19 September, this will leave him with a handful of days to get himself into the groove.

Ironically, our game that weekend will be against Wan Bissaka’s former side, Crystal Palace.

United are furious at what is a clear disregard of the club’s directions. The club provided their players with travel guidance with regards to the places that were safe to travel to and those that weren’t. It is worth noting that the UAE was blacklisted. (h/t Mirror)
