Matej Kovar close to departing Manchester United on loan
According to MEN, Manchester United youngster Matej Kovar is close to leaving the club on loan this summer.
The 20-year-old joined the club in January 2018. His arrival was mostly overshadowed by United’s capture of Alexis Sanchez.
A key player for the Under-23 side, Kovar has made 33 appearances while keeping 11 clean sheets. He is yet to make an appearance for the senior side. (h/t Transfermarkt)
According to the report, United are keen for a number of their young stars to gain first-team experience. Kovar has attracted attention from a couple of League Two sides.
Swindon Town appears to be the likely destination for the Czech starlet. Kovar has impressed at the youth level and has taken part in a number of first-team training sessions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He trained with the club over the weekend as talks continue over a loan deal. If all goes well, it could be confirmed in the next few days.
An opportunity to impress!
If it comes to fruition, Kovar will become the third player to leave United on loan this summer. He will follow Tahith Chong, who moved to Werder Bremen, and Aliou Traore who joined SM Caen on a one year deal. (h/t MEN)
Meanwhile, Max Taylor’s move to MK Dons has failed to materialize. He is now expected to join another Football League club on trial.
Although Solskajer is not averse to giving youngsters a chance, the prospect of all players getting enough game time is difficult to achieve. With the financial crisis affecting the way the market usually operates, a number of clubs could try to exploit the loan market.
Untied should take advantage of the situation and ensure the best talents get the opportunity to take their game to the next level.

With the likes of David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Sergio Romero now at the club, Solskjaer has enough options in goal.
The prospect of Kovar starting above any of the aforementioned players is remote. Already 20, regular game time elsewhere could do him a world of good.
