Manchester United linked with N’Golo Kante
According to the Mirror, Manchester United will be open to making a move for Chelsea midfield star N’Golo Kante, if the Blues decide to sell him this summer.
The 29-year-old Frenchman is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe. After bursting onto the scenes during Leicester City’s surprise PL title triumph in 2015/16, Kante joined Chelsea in the subsequent summer and has tasted great success.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the diminutive midfielder has won a Premier League title, an FA Cup as well as the UEFA Europa League. However, he had an injury-riddled 2019/20 campaign, which saw him drop down the pecking order at the club.
And there is a possibility that Chelsea might look to offload the Frenchman this summer, which seemingly has alerted Manchester United. (h/t Mirror)
At the moment, we have a solid midfield unit, buoyed by the addition of Bruno Fernandes and the rejuvenation of Paul Pogba. In addition, Nemanja Matic has enjoyed a second wind, while Fred and Scott McTominay are more than handy options to provide cover.
Even then, adding someone like Kante would be a coup for us. The Frenchman, barring this past season, has been the best midfielder in the Premier League year after year.

His presence helped the French national team get the best out of Pogba on their way to the 2018 FIFA World Cup triumph. And United could replicate that by signing him from Chelsea this summer.
Any move though, would hinge on whether Chelsea do put him up for sale and the transfer fee that they might demand. (h/t Mirror)
