Juventus to offer Paulo Dybala to re-sign Paul Pogba

According to a report from Tuttosport (h/t Daily Star), Serie A champions Juventus are ready to offer Paulo Dybala to Manchester United, in order to re-sign midfield superstar Paul Pogba this summer.

Pogba spent four years at Juventus, after having left United on a free transfer back in 2012. The Frenchman enjoyed a successful stint in Turin before he returned to Old Trafford in a club-record £89m deal in 2016.

While it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for Pogba since making his comeback at the club, the 27-year-old is finally looking like he is enjoying playing for the club again.

Pogba and Fernandes have struck up an excellent partnership

Having made his return from a lengthy injury layoff post-restart, Pogba has been utterly impressive, striking up a fine partnership with Bruno Fernandes. This has even led to speculations that he could be set for a new contract.

However, Juventus are now planning an attempt to re-sign the 2018 World Cup winner this summer. The Serie A champions oversaw a change in management, with Andrea Pirlo replacing Maurizio Sarri. And the former midfield maestro is keen on reuniting with Pogba in Turin. (h/t Daily Star)

To that end, they are now willing to offer Dybala as a part of a swap deal for the 27-year-old. As per reports in Italy (h/t Football.london), the Argentine will be sold this summer for £100m, as he is not a part of the plans under the new management. And he could be used in a direct swap for Pogba.

Dybala is coming on the back of a fine campaign that saw him being named the MVP of the 2019/20 Serie A. And his acquisition would certainly add more quality to our attack.

However, sending Pogba the other way, at a time when we are finally seeing him getting close to his best, might not be the smartest move. We need to build the team around him and Fernandes as we look to bring back glory days to Old Trafford.
