Borussia Dortmund issue statement after Jadon Sancho is spotted in England

As reported by the MEN, German giants Borussia Dortmund issued a statement saying that they have no problems with Manchester United transfer target Jadon Sancho travelling to the UK.

The 20-year-old Sancho is Manchester United’s top transfer target in the ongoing transfer window. Talks over a deal have been ongoing with Dortmund, but a breakthrough is far from being made. (h/t MEN)

But United fans were sent into a frenzy after Sancho was spotted in the UK attending a party with rappers Krept and Konan, who are supporters of the 20-time English champions. (h/t MEN)

Addressing this situation, Dortmund’s director of media and communication, Sascha Fligge, issued a statement claiming that the club had no issue with Sancho’s presence in the UK.

They further added that the club expected the England international to return to training as per plans this week. (h/t MEN)

“It’s common and fine for players to go home before a training camp if they’re not risky. The same goes for Jadon [Sancho]. From our point of view, the pictures that have been shown to us so far do not violate.”

As of writing, Sancho has boarded a plane for Dortmund’s pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

This is likely to hurt United’s chances of signing the 20-year-old. Dortmund had issued us a deadline of 10th August to get the deal over the line.

But now that he has joined the training camp, they will be reluctant to offload the winger, unless United meet their transfer fee demand of £108m. (h/t Daily Mail)
