Man United youngster deletes controversial tweet following Europa League heartache

Dylan Levitt removes controversial Tweet following Europa League axe

According to the Metro, Manchester United youngster, Dylan Levitt has removed a tweet he sent out in reaction to him being axed from the club’s Europa League squad.

The 19-year-old made his full debut for the club in November’s 2-1 defeat to Astana earlier in the competition. But he was excluded from the squad prior to the resumption of European football earlier this month. Apart from Levitt, the likes of Luke Shaw and Axel Tuanzebe have also been removed.

This has given youngsters Teden Mengi and Ethan Galbraith the chance to make the Europa squad. The former went on to make his debut for the club as a second-half substitute against LASK.

Manchester United youngster, Dylan Levitt has removed a tweet that used to indicate him being axed from the club's Europa League squad.

Levitt can, however, rest easy knowing he has received a call up to the Welsh national squad. This did not stop him from making what appeared to be a suggestive tweet in the wake of being dropped.

The tweet which just comprised of a series of dots is not malicious and can be considered as a young man just frustrated by losing out on an opportunity.

It is even possible that it is in no way related to his omission. However, given the timing, that is debatable.

Levitt, to his credit, did decide to delete the tweet and no harm was done. Hopefully, this will also teach the youngster the perks of patience and waiting for one’s opportunity.

The best thing he can do now is to keep training hard and wait for his chance. Eight United academy prospects have made their debuts this season. If he keeps impressing, there is no reason why Levitt can’t join them sooner or later.
