Manchester United close to agreeing deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho

According to a report from the Sun, Manchester United are on the verge of agreeing on a deal with German giants Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

It is no secret that Manchester United have been vehemently chasing the signing of the 20-year-old England international. However, there had been a problem in negotiations with Dortmund over the £100m transfer fee for the winger. (h/t Mirror)

Jadon Sancho is United’s top target

It was reported that the Red Devils were unwilling to pay more than £50m for Sancho, in light of the negative financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, as per a report from The Sun, the club has had a breakthrough in negotiations. And an agreement is likely to be reached before the transfer window opens on July 27.

This ought to come as a huge boost for the club. It is true that the goals have been flowing aplenty in recent matches. The attacking trident of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford has been firing on all cylinders.

However, the potential addition of someone like Sancho would take our attack to the next level. The 20-year-old is in the form of his life and is coming on the back of a sensational campaign, having scored and assisted 20 goals apiece in 2019/20.
