Ole Gunnar Solskjaer waiting to know the extent of Luke Shaw and Bandon Williams

According to the Metro, Manchester United could be without both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams for the clash against Crystal Palace.

United were mere seconds away from ending the night in third spot, only for Michael Obafemi to turn into the grinch that stole Christmas. His 96th-minute leveller ensured United stayed in fifth spot, behind 4th-placed Leicester City on goal difference.

Another pressing concern for us was the injury setback to both our first and second-choice left-backs.

Luke Shaw suffered an ankle injury and was taken off. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now anxiously awaiting the results of his scan.

“Hopefully, we can have some good news on him after we’ve done a scan.”

Having turned 25 at the weekend, Shaw has emerged as a key member of Solskajer’s United squad. He has started every game since the restart and played a crucial part in our unbeaten run.

Shaw’s setback comes just days before we face Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinals at Wembley. Solskjaer admitted in his post-match presser that the defender had injured his ankle.

To compound matters, his replacement, Williams injured himself after a nasty collision with Kyle Walker-Peters. The youngster sported a gash over his eye and United were reduced to 10 men in the closing stages.

“He was with the medical staff and I think he was getting some stitches with a gash over his eye. So let’s see how he is.”
