According to the Sun, Manchester United are ready to loan out defender Eric Bailly.

The club are keen to see the centre-back get more playing time and are willing to see him depart temporarily to be able to do so.

The 26-year-old’s career at the Red Devils has been hindered by long periods on the sidelines through injury. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have formed a strong centre-back partnership at the heart of the United defence.

One possible destination is Valencia, who are keen to keep him for the whole of next season. He will not be short of options, with teams from Portugal and Italy also keen.

With Chris Smalling and Phil Jones on their way out, it makes no sense for the club to also send away one of the team’s best defenders. The Red Devils do not want to sell Bailly. If it does come to pass, they would demand at least their money back if an offer came in.

He has made 53 appearances for the club in the Premier League and has scored one goal. A number of fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure at the news. We take a look at a few of them below.
