Louis Saha compares Marcus Rashford to Kylian Mbappe
Speaking to Compare.bet (h/t Standard), Manchester United hero Louis Saha has likened Marcus Rashford to French sensation Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is one of the best young players in world football. The PSG superstar became the only teenager since the great Pele to score in a World Cup final.
On the other hand, Rashford has not achieved the same success as his French counterpart at the domestic or international level. His ability or importance to the team though cannot be underestimated.
The 22-year-old is currently enjoying his best season at United in terms of goals scored. He has ensured that United do not miss Romelu Lukaku, who was sold to Inter Milan last summer.
Rashford has a fan in Saha, who believes his ability matches that of Mbappe.
“Ability-wise? Yes.”
Saha believes that both are direct players who have a similar skill set. Both of them can not only play on the wing but also appear prolific up front.
“In terms of quality they’re definitely in the same bracket.”
With technical ability in bucketloads and an eye for goal, the similarity is striking. As someone who is familiar with both the French side and the United squad, we’d like to think Saha has en excellent idea of his assertions.

To be compared to Mbappe is a compliment to Rashford. The youngster has come a long way since making his debut against Arsenal under Louis van Gaal.
A hero both on and off the pitch, he has shown a maturity that belies his years. With his best years ahead of him, he will only get better.
We are not sure if this will lead to a Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo type rivalry. If it does, we know who we are cheering for.
