Ronaldo offers Alexis Sanchez an escape route to Real Valladolid

According to MEN, Brazilian legend Ronaldo has opened the possibility for Alexis Sanchez to join Real Valladolid.

This will come as welcome news to United, who are keen to get the Chilean off their books. Currently on loan at Inter Milan, Sanchez looks set to return to Old Trafford.

He has endured a tough time at United since making the much-publicized move from Arsenal. It has been difficult for the club as well, given the winger’s massive wages.

The Chilean’s £400k-a-week deal combined with his recent injury history and his age are major obstacles in United’s efforts to sell him. (h/t Mirror)

However, Ronaldo, the president of La Liga club Real Valladolid, has expressed his willingness to take the player.

“If he doesn’t succeed at Inter, Valladolid will open their doors to him.”

The La Liga side are currently 15th in the league, seven points clear of Mallorca in 18th position.

Personally, we don’t mind where he ends up as long as he is off our books. Recently, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Sanchez could yet have a future at Manchester United.

Much was expected of the 31-year-old. However, he has registered just 5 goals and 9 assists in 45 games for the Red Devils. (h/t Transfermarkt)

More Manchester United News

There is a lack of faith at United that Sanchez can turn his fortunes around. With two more years to go on his contract, the club could pay him off and secure a mutual cancellation of the contract. (h/t Mirror)

Thet idea was shot down by Ed Woodward. Given the high wages, it will take a significant investment from United to let him loose. (h/t Mirror)

Hopefully, a deal can be struck and the Chilean will move on. Much to the clubs and the fans’ relief.
