Raul Jimenez inspired by interest from Manchester United
According to the Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Raul Jimenez has revealed that he finds motivation from being linked to football’s best teams, a list that includes Manchester United.
The Mexican hitman has led from the front with 22 goals and 10 assists in 44 games this season as Wolves mount an unlikely assault on a top-four finish. (h/t Transfermarkt)
“Different teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool – they are teams that are important in football history.”
His impressive form has seen him emerge as a target for Juventus and United.
Jimenez describes it to be an incredible feeling to be linked to the top teams. It prompts him to do better and improve and if possible, take a step up in his career.
“It is an incredible thing to be on the radar and on the lips of those teams.”
Although Wolves are not in need of the cash, Jimenez could be tempted by the opportunity to don the United jersey. Apart from playing for a historic club, he will also receive an improved payday. (h/t Express)
He has remained coy on his dream team as he is not sure of where he may end up if given the chance.
“Imagine that right now I tell you one and in the end, I go to the rival, they will reproach me all the time, I will get into trouble!”
Agent Mendes?
Wolves will loathe losing their record signing who has bundled in the goals since moving to the Molineux in 2018. Having initially joined on loan, the deal was made permanent last
summer following a spate of impressive showings.United have an advantage when it comes to the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes. He has strong connections with United. This could make a potential switch more doable. Jimenez’s current contract runs until 2023. (h/t Express)
