Rolls-Royce belonging to Manchester United star Paul Pogba seized by the police
According to The Sun, a Rolls-Royce belonging to Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been seized by the police.
According to the report, the reason for it was the use of French license plates. Officers clocked the United ace on the M56 and stopped him as he exited Manchester airport.
Foreign vehicles that have been in the country for more than six months in a year must be registered with the DVLA and fitted with UK plates. However, if the owner is a UK resident they must register their car within two weeks of importing it. (h/t The Sun)
Pogba will now have a week to get the car back. He will have to pay £150 as well as £20 for every day it’s held. Given that he earns a cool £15m per year, we are pretty sure we will not need to help him crowdfund the amount. (h/t The Sun)
The United ace will have to show proof of insurance and evidence that he owns the car at the police station before he can reclaim it. (h/t The Sun)
According to a source close to the player, the problem can be easily solved. All Pogba needs to do is get his license plates changed into English. (h/t The Sun)
We hope Pogba will get on the case quickly and will settle this issue once and for all. With matters on the football pitch set to resume, we can do without any distractions off it.
