Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba to combine against West Bromwich Albion later today

According to MEN, Manchester United stars Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba will play together in the friendly match against West Bromwich Albion.

United are facing the Championship side in two separate games at Old Trafford as they continue their preparations for the return of the Premier League next week.

The club was earlier forced to cancel their match against Stoke City after the Potters manager tested positive for coronavirus.

Now set to face off against the Baggies, United will further increase their sharpness as the crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur draws closer.

According to the report, the first-team squad will be divided into two groups for the matches. Each match is set to last an hour and will see the Pogba-Fernandes duo finally play together.

It is something fans have been waiting forever since Fernandes signed for the club in January. When on song, Pogba is our best midfielder. The prospect of him combining with the Portuguese playmaker is what dreams are made of.

It was reported earlier in the week that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was considering deploying Pogba as a number 10 and Fernandes as a number 8. The matchup against West Brom should give him a clear idea of how well it can work.

The duo have been pictured in the intra-squad matches that were held at Old Trafford and Carrington over the last few days. They were, however, on opposite sides.

United are currently best placed to push Chelsea for the fourth spot. We are also currently well and alive in the latter stages of the Europa League and the FA Cup.

There is still much to play for this season. And if Pogba-Fernandes duo clicks, it can make our task all the easier.
