The Red Devils are keen to bolster their squad and have identified a number of players capable of doing so, with Jadon Sancho and Grealish at the top of the pile. (h/t Mirror)
The latest developments come following Borussia Dortmund’s unwillingness to lower their asking price of £100m for Jadon Sancho. With money at a premium, Villa skipper, Grealish, has now leapfrogged the Bundesliga star to the top of the list. (h/t Mirror)
The 24-year-old midfielder has enjoyed an excellent season in the Premier League. He has scored 9 goals and 8 assists in 31 matches, while also leading the club to the Carabao Cup finals. (h/t Transfermarkt)
United are expected to move for Grealish regardless of Villa’s fate in the relegation battle. The Red Devils have already begun their due diligence in a move that will cost around £80m. (h/t Mirror)
Grealish was fined £150,000 after he broke lockdown guidelines to attend a party with former teammate Ross McCormack. This has however not put off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is keen to sign the player. (h/t Mirror)
Midfield is an area that has been reinvigorated with the addition of Bruno Fernandes. With Paul Pogba also set to return, United can turn an area of weakness into one of strength.
The prospect of a Fernandes-Pogba partnership is sure to get United fans excited. Throw Grealish into the mix and we could have a midfield capable of dominating games.
