Manchester United target Thiago Almada as Jadon Sancho alternative
The Red Devils are readying a list of alternatives just in case their pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund star leads nowhere.
Of all the alternative above, Almada is the one for who we can expect competition. The likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are keen while Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on the youngster. (h/t Express)
City went close to signing him last season. However, the youngster stayed and signed a new contract at Velez.
According to the report, United admire the player but will only offer him a backup position at the club at this moment in time.
The right-wing is a position that the club is keen to strengthen. Although capable of playing there, Almada has predominantly played as an attacking midfielder or on the left flank.
His ability is however not in question. One of the brightest stars in Argentine football, he has also drawn comparisons to Barcelona captain Lionel Messi. (h/t The Sun)
A move to Manchester would appeal to the player given his admiration for Carlos Tevez. Hopefully, it will be more towards the red side rather than the blue half. (h/t The Sun)
